"Funding Medical Student
Education" was endorsed by each of the constituent organizations
to support separate and distinct funding of undergraduate and graduate
medical education and to support maintenance of resources for faculty
directed to the education of students. The paper was submitted to each
member of the House Ways and Means committee during the 1994 discussion of
health care reform. Accompanying the position paper were letters of
support from the leadership of each of the undergraduate organizations
represented by the Alliance for Clinical Education.
